O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Tindivanam, Villupuram District, to expedite the proceedings in C.C.No.95 of 2018 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Tindivanam and also to complete the proceedings within the time to be stipulated by this Court.

2. The petitioner is A1 in C.C.No.95 of 2018 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.II, Tindivanam, Villupuram District, for the offences under Section 294(b), 498 (A) and 506(i) IPC. While so, the petitioner has filed the present petition with the above prayer.

3. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in the final report, this Court directs the trial Court to complete the trial in C.C.No.95 of 2018 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

a) the accused do not file discharge application(s) under Section 239 Cr.P.C.;

b) the accused engages a counsel and cross-examines the witnesses on the day they are examined-in-chief, as directed by the Supreme Court in Vinod Kumar vs. State of Punjab [2015(1) MLJ (Crl) 288].
