ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce petitioner's wife namely Govindhammal, aged about 24 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondents. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. On 13.11.2018, this Court passed an order which reads as follows:- "The wife of the petitioner is present before this Court. She informs that on her own volition, she left the matrimonial home in July 2018 and that she had taken up residence at Chennai Ladies Hostel, EB Office (Back side), Housing Board, Avadi, Chennai and on being informed by the second respondent Inspector of police, she has appeared. She further informs that the petitioner earlier moved this Court in the year 2015 and he had caused disturbance to her and that she, being motherless, is in constant touch with her father. The said statement is recorded.

2. Post the matter on 14.11.2018. The wife of the petitioner need not appear before this Court unless called for."

4. Counsel for petitioner is present and has been informed that the detenue has complained of disturbances suffered at the hands of the petitioner. No further orders are necessary. This Habeas Corpus Petition shall stand closed.
