Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.06.2018, and permit the petitioner to live in the existing Quarters at No.10/2, Mathias Nagar, St.Thomas Mount, Chennai - 600 016 from 30.09.2018 to April, 2019 to secure the ends of justice.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought by the petitioner has become infructuous since the period, for which, he sought permission to continue to stay in the quarters, itself was over and therefore, nothing survives in this petition for further adjudication.
