It is the case of the petitioners that they belong to two different communities and that they were in love with each other, which was not to the liking of their parents and therefore, they eloped and got married on 21.09.2018 at Arulmigu Mangalanadhar Mangaleshwari Thirukovil and thereafter filed the present application seeking police protection. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Advocate [Cr. Side] for the respondents 1 and 2. 3.In view of the law laid down in Lata Singh Vs State of Uttarpradesh and another [2006] 5 SCC 475, wherein the Hon'ble Supreme Court has directed that sufficient protection should be given to couples who undergo intercaste/love marriage, the petitioners are directed to appear before the 2nd respondent and give a representation. On receipt of such representation, the 2nd respondent shall ensure that no harm befalls the petitioners. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The 2nd respondent shall also call the parents of the girl and caution them against taking law into their hands. 4.With the above direction, this petition is ordered.
