Respondents in both W.Ps Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 20.08.2018, for promotion to the post of Librarian Grade III on the basis of their qualification and length of services in the post of Part time Librarian and Village Librarian, as absorbed in G.O.Ms.No.243, dated 27.11.2006.

By consent, these writ petitions are taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioners have come with these writ petitions, for a mandamus, directing the respondents to consider their representations dated 20.08.2018, seeking promotion to the post of Librarian Grade III, on the basis of their qualification and length of services in the post of Part time Librarian and Village Librarian, as per G.O.Ms.No.243, dated 27.11.2006.
3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the respondents would consider the representations of the petitioners dated 20.08.2018, on merits and in accordance with law.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 20.08.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, these writ petitions stand disposed of. No costs.
