The Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd respondent to return the original driving license (DL No. TN25Z19970001793)of the petitioner.

2. According to the petitioner he was a driver in the Metropolitan Transport Corporation(MTC) of Chennai and the bus which he was driving was met with an accident on 20.08.2018. Based on that, F.I.R has been registered by the 1st respondent in Crime No.296 of 2018. Thereafter, the petitioner's license was https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

seized by the 1st respondent and produced before the 2nd respondent for taking action under Section 19 of the Motor Vehicles Act. Thereafter, an enquiry was conducted and so far no order has been passed and without passing any orders the 2nd respondent is keeping the petitioner's driving license with him. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Mrs.Ramya Revathy, the learned Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent on instructions submitted that the enquiry is over and the 2nd respondent will pass orders within a period of two weeks.

4. Considering the above facts that already the enquiry is over, the 2nd respondent is directed to pass orders on the enquiry within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
