O R D E R

The present Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to issue patta to the petitioner in respect of Door No.35 in S.No.26/2B measuring 0.13.50 hectares, Vadakarai Village, Madhavaram Taluk, Thiruvallur.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 18.08.2014 seeking a copy of S.L.R Certificate in respect of the said property, but, the same is yet to be disposed of by the respondents. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. From the records, it is seen that the petitioner has made an application through Online on 18.08.2014 asking for a copy of S.L.R Certificate. The petitioner claims that the property has been in possession of their family from the year 1905. It seems that no representation was made recently for issuance of patta.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, directs the petitioner to make a representation to the second respondent within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and thereafter, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's said representation, after issuing notice to the petitioner and all the persons concerned and also affording due opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as any of the interested parties and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
