Mr.S.Kathirvelu, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has come up with this writ petition for a mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take disciplinary action against the fourth respondent, based on the conviction rendered by the Judicial Magistrate, Dharapurm in C.C.No.188 of 2013, dated 22.11.2017.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the Director General of Police, Chennai, has not https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

accepted the minor punishment imposed on the petitioner and accordingly enhanced the punishment.
