O R D E R

This petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.13 of 2016, pending on the file of the second respondent Police.

2.It is seen from the records that the respondent Police have registered an FIR in the year 2016 based on the complaint given by the first respondent. Subsequently, the petitioner and the first respondent have got their marriage dissolved by way of filing petition for dissolution of marriage by mutual consent. The Sub Court, Arakkonam, by order, dated 19.03.2018, has also dissolved the marriage between petitioner and the first respondent on the ground of mutual consent.

3.In view of the above, no useful purpose will be served by keeping the FIR pending on the file of the second respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Therefore, the FIR in Crime No.13 of 2016, pending on the file of the second respondent, is hereby quashed. Accordingly, this Criminal Original petition is allowed.
