31412/2018) Order : This Miscellaneous petition coming on this day for hearing upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of MR.J.KUMARAN, Additional Government Pleader for M/S.GOVERNMENT PLEADER FOR PONDIDCHERRY, Advocate for the petitioners and of M/S.M.

This petition has been filed seeking extension of time for six months for exercising the petition mentioned process and to comply the orders of this Court, so as to acquire the land of the petitioner and to pay compensation to him as per the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

2. Earlier, this Court by order dated 09.03.2018, dispose of the above writ petition with a direction to the respondents to determine the compensation amount payable to the petitioner within a period of six months and further directed to conduct the meeting without waiting for receipt of the copy of the said order. The writ petition was posted for reporting compliance on 01.10.2018.

3. Since the order of this Court could not be complied with within the time stipulated by this Court, the respondents have filed this miscellaneous petition seeking to extend the time by further period of six months.

4. Being satisfied with the reasons shown in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the prayer sought for by the petitioners deserves to be considered favourably.

5. Accordingly, this Miscellaneous Petition is ordered and the time is extended by further period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
