Respondent Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent herein to consider and pass orders on the last representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2018, by taking into consideration the proceedings of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission in Na.Ka.No.9687/CD/B2/92, dated 08.09.2000 and the proceedings of the respondent in Na.Ka.No.24765/98/K3-1, dated 22.12.2000 and accordingly revise the seniority of the petitioner in the post of Junior Assistant with all other monetary and service benefits.

Mrs.R.Janaki, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for a mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on his representation dated 24.08.2018 and for consequential relief.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has made a representation dated 24.08.2018 to the respondent, with regard to revision of his seniority in the post of Junior Assistant and the same is pending without any consideration. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondent on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.08.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as any other necessary parties within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
