O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to sanction the remaining educational loan amount of Rs.2,55,000/- (Two Lakhs Fifty Five Thousand Only) to the petitioner within the stipulated time prescribed by the Indian Bank Association for pursuing B.Sc. Agriculture Course from the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore.

2.It is seen that the petitioner is claiming educational loan of Rs.1,05,000/- per annum for four years. It seems that the petitioner has managed to pay the first and second year fees, but however for the remaining two years, she seeks for

educational loan.

3.The learned counsel for the respondent Bank has submitted that since the petitioner has already managed to pay the fees for the first and second years, the bank can consider granting loan only for the third and fourth years, provided the petitioner furnishes the details of scholarship obtained by her from the Government.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner will approach the respondent Bank and produce all the details of scholarship obtained by her and that, on receipt of such details from the petitioner, the respondent bank may be directed to consider the claim of the petitioner for granting educational loan for the third and fourth years. 5.Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6.Since the petitioner has already paid the first and second year fees, there will not be any impediment for the bank to consider granting loan for a sum of Rs.1,05,000/- for the remaining two years, ie., Rs.2,10,000/-. Hence, while considering the request of the petitioner by obtaining the details of scholarship, the respondent Bank shall deduct the amount if any already paid to the petitioner as a part of the loan amount. Whole exercise shall be completed by the parties, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7.With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
