ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) Alleging that the order dated 20.06.2014 passed in W.A.No. 1383 of 2011 has not been complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate, in purported compliance of the order passed on 26.03.2019, produced two cheques bearing (i) Cheque No.120394 for a sum of Rs.50,550/- and (ii) Cheque No.120392 for a sum of Rs.4669/-, for the interest, as directed to be paid.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner disputes the quantum of interest computed by the respondents.

4. We are not inclined to go into the said issue. While, the petitioner can be permitted to receive these two cheques, he can also work out the remedy, if he is entitled for higher amount as interest. The two cheques were handed over and accordingly, received by the petitioner without prejudice to the contentions raised by him. In view of the above, the contempt petition stands closed.
