Prayer: This Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the petitioner dated 24.09.2018 and 01.10.2018 to remove the compost pit being constructed by the respondent adjacent to the Teachers colony at Ward No.33, Alandhur Municipality, Meenambakkam, Chennai - 600 027. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 24.09.2018 and 01.10.2018.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is one of the residents of Teachers colony, Meenambakkam, Chennai-27. On 20.09.2018, the respondent started constructing the centralized compost pit close to the perimeter wall of the petitioner's colony. In this regard, the residents of the teachers colony including the petitioner made a representation to the respondent on 24.09.2018 requesting to put up the compost unit away from the compound wall of their colony. Since, no action was taken, the petitioner again made a representation on 01.10.2018, to the respondent to stop the construction and put up the compost pit in some other place. As the said representation also evoke no response, the petitioner has come forward with this Writ https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Considering the limited nature of relief sought herein, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.09.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as any interested parties, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected M.P. is closed.
