O R D E R

Seeking for an issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to retrospectively promote the petitioner in the post of Assistant as well as in the post of Deputy Block Development Officer notionally based on his feeder category seniority viz., Junior Assistant without insisting service qualification with all consequential benefits such as retrospective notional promotion, arrears of pay etc., the petitioner has come up with the present petition.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. When the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has produced a letter in Na.Ka.No.11681/2019/K.2 dated 13.10.2023, wherein it reveals that the petitioner was promoted as Assistant Block Development Officer, Sulagiri and his seniority has also been refixed by passing appropriate orders. Further, the petitioner has also addressed a letter dated 29.11.2022 to the District Collector, Krishnagiri that he would not proceed further in the present petition.

In view of the above, the present Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
