Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to provide water connection and sewerage connection to the petitioner house at Old No.1-A, New Number 1/3, Thanthini Amman Koil 2nd Street, Villivakkam, Chennai- 600 049.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to provide water connection and sewerage connection to the petitioner house situated at Old No.1-A, New Number 1/3, Thanthini Amman Koil 2nd Street, Villivakkam, Chennai- 600 049.

2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner made a representation to the second respondent on 31.07.2018 seeking to provide water and sewerage connection to the petitioner's house. But no action was taken by the respondents till date. Hence, the petitioner has come up with this writ petition.

3. Learned counsel for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that a civil dispute is pending between the petitioner and one Loganathan before the civil court. 4.

Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 31.07.2018, on merits and in accordance with law, by giving reasonable opportunity to the parties concerned and pass orders as expeditiously as possible not later than twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition is disposed of, on the above terms. No costs.
