CMP No.20051 of 2018 in CMA (SR) No.111173 of 2018 R.MAHADEVAN, J.

This petition is filed by the petitioners / appellants / claimants seeking to condone the delay of 966 days in filing the above Appeal.

2. Heard both sides. The learned Standing Counsel for R-2/Insurance Company stated No objection in ordering this petition.

3. In view of the said submission, having regard to the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit filed in support of this petition and being satisfied with the same, the delay of 966 days in filing the above Appeal is condoned subject to the following conditions:- (i) The petitioners / appellants shall pay a sum of Rs.500/- as cost to the "Tamil Nadu Legal Services Authority, Chennai" on or before 30.09.2019; and (ii) The petitioners / appellants are not entitled to any interest for the default period, in the event of succeeding in the Appeal, in respect of the enhanced compensation amount.

4. This petition is ordered accordingly.
