O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation for payment of interest under Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Land Acquisition for Industrial Purpose Act 1997.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, the petitioner's land was sought to be acquired under the Tamil Nadu Land Acquisition for Industrial Purpose Act. Subsequently, an award has also been passed on 24.05.2016. But, while passing the award, the respondent did not pay the interest as per Section 12 of the Tamil Nadu Land Acquistion for Industrial Purpose Act. In such circumstances, the petitioner has made representation before the respondents on 24.09.2018 and 25.09.2018, but the same was not considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.
4. Considering the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, this Court directs the fifth respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, after giving opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of six(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
