Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to call for the records pertaining to the respondent rejection order dated 08.10.2018 and quash the same and consequently, issue a direction directing the respondent police to give permission to conduct the Temple festival with Cultural Programme of Bajanai (Adal-Padal) dated 13.10.2018 at 6.00 p.m in the event of Arulmigu Sri. Venkateswara Temple festival at No.73, Punnai Village, Nemili Taluk, Vellore District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 08.10.2018.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed challenging the order dated 08.10.2018 passed by the respondent, rejecting the request of the petitioner to conduct Adal Padal event in connection with Arulmigu Sri. Venkateswara Temple festival.

2.When this Court expressed its opinion that it will not entertain any application for Adal Padal events, as those events borders on obscenity and also leads to clashes, Mr.C.M.Gunasekaran, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is asking permission only for Bajans and not for Adal Padal event. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Accepting the submission, the respondent police is directed to consider the request of the petitioner to have religious Bajans in connection with the said temple festival with sufficient conditions.

With the above direction, this petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
