ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by K.K.SASIDHARAN, J.) The petitioner filed this writ petition for a direction to the first respondent to consider and dispose of the statutory appeal filed against the lock and seal notice dated 20.8.2018 issued by the Greater Chennai Corporation.
2. When this writ petition came up for admission on 24.10.2018, we directed the learned Special Government Pleader to take instructions from the first respondent with regard to the time required for disposal of the stay petition and the main appeal.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the stay petition would be disposed of within a period of two weeks. Similarly, the appeal will be disposed of as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of three months. The said submission is recorded.
4. Status quo, as on today, shall be preserved till the orders are passed in the stay application by the first respondent.
5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. Consequently, W.M.P.No.32040 of 2018 is closed. No costs.
