ORDER

This application has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to dispose the petitioner's application seeking transfer of Stage Carriage Permit.

2. According to the petitioner, originally, the Stage Carriage permit has been issued in the name of the petitioner's father and he died on 12.08.2016. Thereafter, all other legal heirs had given no objection for transferring the permit in favour of the petitioner and the petitioner has also made an application on 14.11.2016. After that, an enquiry was conducted by the respondent on 23.07.2017, but till date date no order has been passed. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

4. Considering the fact that the application is pending for a long time and enquiry has already been commenced, the respondent is directed to proceed with the enquiry and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
