Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to appoint and promote the petitioner as Forest Watcher with effect from the date of his juniors appointment and promotion by considering the petitioners representation dated 30.12.2017 in the light of the order passed in W.P.No.15561 of 2006 dated 10.03.2008, W.A.No.690 of 2008 dated 13.10.2009, W.P.No.23374 of 2008 dated 30.10.2009, W.A.No.607 of 2010 dated 20.03.2010 and first respondent in his Government Letter No.19683/FR 2(II)/2016-4 dated 3.3.2017 with all consequential benefits.

The petitioner made a representation dated 30.12.2017 to the respondents to consider their claim of seniority in the light of the orders made by this Court in W.P.Nos.15561 of 2006 and 23374 of 2008 dated 10.03.2008 and 30.10.2009, respectively. As the said representation was not considered, the petitioner has preferred the present writ petition.

2.Ms.M.Lalitha learned Government Advocate (Forests) takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.12.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
