The present Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 17.08.2018, within a stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner-society is a registered society which was registered on 12.04.1988. The said society is under the control and supervision of the first respondent. The day-today affairs and accounts of the society are maintained scrupulously and the same are reported to the respondents periodically. He further submitted that the main functions of the Dairy Development Department include registration of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

societies, supervision and control of Primary Milk Cooperatives, District Co-operative Milk Producers Unions and Tamil Nadu Co-operative Milk Producers' Federation Ltd.

3. According to the petitioner, the respondents are barred from collecting milk from unregistered societies, which is against the rules and regulations of the society. Challenging the same, the petitioner has made a representation dated 17.08.2018 before the second respondent, but, the same is yet to be disposed of by the respondents.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.08.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the persons interested in this regard and also affording them an opportunity of personal hearing, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
