ORDER

Heard, Mr.L.Chandrakumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Suresh Kumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The prayer sought for in this writ petition is for a mandamus, directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on the revision petition dated 01.02.2017 seeking to revise and review the order of the District Revenue Officer, Thiruvarur, vide Na.Ka.No.5086/2012/E1 dated 29.12.2016 on merits and in accordance with law.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has filed a review petition dated 01.02.2017 to the respondent seeking to revise and review the order of the District Revenue Officer, Thiruvarur, vide Na.Ka.No.5086/2012/E1 dated 29.12.2016. However, the same was not considered and disposed of by the respondent till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that the review petition of the petitioner would be considered and disposed of on merits and in accordance with law.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the review petition of the petitioner dated dated 01.02.2017 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as all the necessary parties, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
