Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents to produce the person of detenu (1) Priya, w/o.Mani, aged 45 years (2) Sree Nethra, minor 17 years and (3) Rithika, minor 9 years, who are under illegal detention of the 3rd respondent and direct that they be set at liberty. [Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J] The detenues/wife and minor daughters of the petitioner have been produced by the second respondent. They inform of having suffered much at the hands of the petitioner that he, who had initially left them at the house of one Manikandan, brother of his wife Priya on 19.01.2018, had abandoned them and has now https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition with ulterior motive. The wife of the petitioner informs that they have taken a house for rent at No.29/1, Bharathan Illam, Annaiappar Veedhi, Nallampalayam and that she is to take up employment at a Sweet Meat Shop towards supporting herself and her minor children.

2. Recording such submission, we consider it appropriate to direct the District Legal Services Authority of District Court, Coimbatore to cause due enquiry with the detenue/wife of the petitioner viz., Priya as also her minor daughters and help them in preferring appropriate complaints towards registration of cases and further in recovery of their belongings. The detenues may appear before the District Legal Services Authority of District Court at Coimbatore on 29.11.2018.
