(2) of Criminal Procedure Code, to call for the records in D.V.A. No.10 of 2018 pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Erode and quash the same.

ORDER

This petition has been filed to quash the domestic violence proceedings initiated by the respondent against the petitioners.

2. The respondent was present before this Court and she was also represented by a counsel. She made a categorical statement that the matter has been compromised between the parties and therefore the proceedings itself can be quashed. The petitioners were also present before this Court.

3. Taking into consideration, specific stand taken by the respondent who is present in-person, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the proceedings pending.

4. In the result, the proceedings in DVA No.10 of 2018, pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Erode is hereby quashed and the Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
