The present Contempt Petition has been filed by petitioner alleging noncompliance of the order of this Court passed in W.P.No.8461 of 2013 dated 06.04.2016, whereunder this Court directed the respondent herein to conduct survey of the petitioner's lands by a qualified Surveyor, by issuing notice to the petitioner as well as to the necesary parties, if any, and identify the correct survey number of the lands of the petitioner. It was further directed that the entire exercise shall be carried out within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of that order.

3. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondent.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, it is represented by learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondent that pursuant to the order of this Court, which is in contempt, a survey was conduced on 01.07.2019 and the petitioner's claim to issue patta was rejected on 10.07.2019. Since the order of this Court, which is in contempt, has been complied with, nothing survives for further adjudication in the present Contempt Petition. 2/3

Accordingly, the Contempt Petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order passed by the respondent in the manner known to law.
