O R D E R

This petition is filed praying for an issuance of a suitable direction to the Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Ranipet of Vellore District to conduct and conclude the pending proceedings in C.C.No.14 of 2016 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Ranipet, Vellore District and pass a final report within a specified period to be stipulated by this Court.

2.The petitioner is A1 in C.C.No.14 of 2016 pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Ranipet and he has filed the present petition with the above prayer. 3.Today, M/s.M.Renugopal, HC 3069, attached to Ranipet Police Station is present before this Court.

4.On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the trial has begun with the examination of P.W.1 and the chief examination is continuing. 5.Taking into consideration the fact that the Trial Court is burdened with both civil and criminal cases, it may not be appropriate for this Court to issue a direction to complete the trial within a time period. Hence, this petition is closed with a direction to the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Ranipet to complete the trial in C.C.No.14 of 2016 expeditiously, provided the accused co-operates by cross-examining the witness on the day they are examined in chief, as held in Vinodh Kumar Vs State of Punjab reported in 2015(1) MLJ (Crl) 288.
