2. None appeared for the petitioner.

3. However, Mr.V.Nanmaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the challenge under the writ petition was with regard to the impugned order, whereby the license to sell crackers was rejected vide order dated 22.10.2018 and since the relief sought for in the Writ Petition to permit the petitioner to sell the crackers after quashing the impugned order, pertains to the year 2018, which was already over and no further request was made by the petitioner for subsequent years. This may be the reason, today when the matter is called, none appeared for the petitioner before this Court to pursue the Writ Petition.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed for nonprosecution. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
