ORDER

Mr.S.K.Rameshwar, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondent. By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The petitioner has come up with this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent to provide domestic electricity service connection to his house bearing Flat No.1H in First Floor, Anuttara Flats, Unamanchery Village, Kolappakkam - 600 127, Chengalpattu Taluk, Kancheepuram District, pursuant to his application dated 25.05.2018 and the deposits made to the respondent on 25.05.2018 and 22.06.2018, for a sum of Rs.6850/- and Rs.1800/- respectively within a stipulated period of time as prescribed by this Court.

3.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner has submitted an application dated 25.05.2018 claiming the same relief as prayed in this writ petition, but, the same has not been considered by the respondent. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court.

4. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent would consider the application of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 25.05.2018 on merits and in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the co-owner and promoter of the premises and any other interested parties, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
