O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent police to secure the accused person in Crime No.17 of 2018.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that FIR has been registered by the respondent police for an offence under Section 417, 506 (i) and 376 of Indian Penal Code. The learned counsel would submit that there was a relationship between the petitioner and the accused person for more than five years and thereafter the accused person has cheated the petitioner and he has refused to marry the petitioner

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions would submit that the respondent police are investigating the case effectively. It is further submitted that the respondent police in the course of investigation will take appropriate https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

decision with regard to securing the accused person, if the respondent police is satisfied that custodial interrogation of the accused person will be necessary in the course of investigation.

4. In the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not in a position to grant the relief as sought for by the petitioner. However, the respondent police is directed to continue with the investigation effectively and take action in accordance with law and file a final report, in this case, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed.
