ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the validity of the proceedings of the 5th respondent dated 06.08.2018 in Na.Ka.No.241/208/A1 regarding putting up of cut and cover drain on the land belonging to the petitioner as a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

precautionary measure to prevent the water logging in the streets situate within the respondent Municipality during rainy season.

2. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the Tahsildar, Tambaram, and the Executive Officer, Chitlapakkam Municipality were present. On instructions from the 5th respondent, Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, the learned counsel submitted the municipality had dropped the proposal of putting up of cut and cover drain on the land belonging to the petitioner. He has also produced a copy of the proceedings of the 5th respondent dated 31.10.2018 in Na.Ka.No.302/2018/A1.

3. In the result, this writ petition is closed recording the submission of the learned counsel for the 5th respondent. No costs. Consequently, connected WMP is also closed.
