PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to call for the entire records concerned in Crime No.1 of 2018 on the file of the Inspector of Police, CCIW CID, Villupuram, Villupuram District and quash the same in far as the petitioner is concerned. O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking for quash the F.I.R in Crime No.1 of 2018, pending on the file of the first respondent Police.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that, when the petitioner filed an earlier Crl.O.P.No.16508 of 2018, before this Court seeking for quashing the F.I.R., a representation was made before this Court that the final report has also been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tirukovilur. When the petitioner filed a copy application https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

before the concerned Court, the same was returned on the ground that the final report is yet to be received by the Court. Therefore, the present petition has been filed seeking to quash the F.I.R.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions would submit that the final report was filed by the respondent Police on 31.05.2018 before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tirukovilur and it is yet to be numbered and taken on file. Therefore, the petitioner was not able to get a copy of the final report. However, the fact remains that the investigation is completed and a final report has been filed. 4.In the facts and circumstances of the case, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the 1st respondent to take necessary steps to get the final report numbered before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Tirukovilur within a period of two weeks from the the date of receipt of a copy of this order and consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
