O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to forebear the respondents 1 to 3 and any police personnel working under them from any way and in any manner interfering with his running of hotel 'Sri Krishna' in the property survey No.319, Town Survey No.26 in Ward 'D' in Gandhi Road, Arakonam Town, in Vellore District and its civil dispute.

2. The relief as such sought for cannot be granted. The Police authorities are empowered to initiate action if they receive any information or complaint of any cognizable offence of otherwise. Therefore, the relief as such cannot be granted.

3. The learned Government Pleader brought to the notice of this Court that there was a civil dispute between the petitioner and the 4th respondent and subsequently, they have compromised the issues and entered into an agreement.

4. That being so, no further adjudication is required and thus, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
