PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ or order or orders or direction particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant regular appointment to the petitioner on compassionate grounds as Forest Watcher consequent on the death of his father, S.Rajendra Prasad, while working as Forest Guard, on 29.09.2011, in Madurai Forest Division, within a limited time frame.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent states that the writ petitioner submitted an application seeking appointment on compassionate ground to the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

post of Forest Watcher. The post of Forest Watcher has already been filled up and there is no vacancy, so as to engage the application for appointment on compassionate grounds.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader further states that, the writ petitioner is at liberty to submit an application in respect of the other posts. Thus, the writ petitioner is at liberty to file an application and in the event of filing any such application, the respondents are to be considered the case of the writ petitioner, strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions of the scheme of Compassionate Appointment and pass orders as expeditiously as possible. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
