This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to file the final report in Crime No.129 of 2018 now pending on the file of Inspector of Police, Chunambedu Police Station. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 3.On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent Police have registered a case in Crime No.129 of 2018 on 30.04.2018 under Sections 294(b), 323, 506(1) and 420 IPC r/w Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002. While so, the de facto complainant has filed the present petition with the above prayer.
4.Taking into consideration the nature of allegations in the FIR, this Court cannot issue a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation within a time bound manner. However, the respondent police are directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.129 of 2018, expeditiously, especially in the light of the fact that the DNA report has to be obtained https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
from the Tamil Nadu Forensic Laboratory and either file a charge sheet or a closure report as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant, provided there is no any legal impediment.
