O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking to quash the FIR in Crime No.675 of 2018, on the file of the 1st respondent police for offences under Section 294(b), 498(A) and 506(i) of IPC.

2) The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the parties have arrived at a compromise and they have also filed a joint memo of compromise, dated 27.09.2018 in the typed set before this Court.

3) The defacto complainant, namely, Mrs.V.Ramya was present before this Court and she categorically stated that the matter has been amicably settled and there is no need to proceed further with the case.

4) Under such circumstances, no useful purpose will be served in keeping the First Information Report pending, even though, the offences involved are not compoundable in nature. In the light of the guidelines given by the Hon'ble Supreme Court reported in 2017 9 SCC 641-(Parbathbhai Aahir @ Parbathbhai Vs. State of Gujrath), this Court in exercise of its jurisdiction under Section 482 Cr.P.C. quashes the First Information Report in Crime No.675 of 2018.

5) This Criminal Original Petition stands allowed and as a sequel, the FIR in Crime No.675 of 2018, on the file of the 1st respondent police is quashed and the terms of joint memo of compromise shall form part and parcel of this order.
