This writ petition is filed by the petitioner, seeking direction to the respondents to fix the seniority on par with the first batch (Sub Inspectors of Police) based on the marks secured by the petitioner in the police training college as per the rules, by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 06.08.2018 within a reasonable time

2. In this regard, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 06.08.2018, requesting the respondents to fix his seniority in terms of Rule 25 of the Special Rules for Tamil Nadu Police Subordinate Service and to accord proper placement. The said representation has not yet been considered till date, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

which has made the petitioner to move this Court with the present Writ Petition.

3. Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents and undertakes to consider the representation.

4. Having regard to the scope of the prayer made, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 06.08.2018 and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
