ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner's life and property comprised in Survey Nos.459, 460 & 471 bearing Plot No.B-13 on Thirumullaivayil, Ambattur Taluk, Tiruvallur District, admeasuring an extent of 4000 sq.ft.

2. Today Mr.S.Periyadurai, Inspector of Police, T.10 Thirumullaivoyal Police Station is present.

3. The petitioner is the owner of the property comprised in S.Nos.459, 460 and 471 of Thirumullaivayil Village, bearing Plot No.B-13, measuring an extent of 4000 sq.ft. and some persons belonging to a local political outfit are preventing him from entering his own property and are asking him to give protection money. In this regard, the petitioner has sent a complaint dated 21.10.2018 by post to the respondent and thereafter, filed the present petition.

4. Heard Mr.B.Vijay, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.C.Raghavan, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) for the respondent.

5. On instructions, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that the property belongs to the petitioner and that the petitioner has put a compound wall around the property, nevertheless, there are some elements disturbing the petitioner for extraneous reasons. He also contended that Amudha Gunalan, Kalaiazhagan and Mullai Balaraman and others are threatening the petitioner and are not permitting him to enter the property and that there are criminal cases registered against all the accused in CCB Cr.No.33 of 2015 for land grabbing.

6. In such view of the matter, this Court directs the respondent police to afford sufficient protection to the petitioner and ensure that there is no threat from anyone, including Advocates, if any, for the petitioner to develop the property.

Accordingly, this petition is ordered.
