This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to consider the representation dated 10.08.2018 and consequentially alter the FIR in Crime No.506 of 2018 and charge Logonathan and Sasikala with offence u/s 302 IPC, expedite the investigation in Crime No.506/18 pending on the file of the respondent and consequentially file the charge sheet/final report in a time bound manner.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent. 3.On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent Police have registered a case in Crime No.506 of 2018 on 07.07.2018 under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506 (i) IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002. While so, the de facto complainant has filed the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
present petition with the above prayer.
4.The learned counsel for the de facto complainant submitted that the de facto complainant's mother who was attacked by the accused died, despite which the police have not conducted any investigation.
5.Taking into consideration the nature of allegations in the FIR, this Court directs the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.506 of 2018, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a charge sheet or a closure report as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant provided there is no any legal impediment.
