Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of certiorarified mandamus calling for the records pertaining to the Certificate of Registration of Marriage in Serial No.4146/2015 dated 25.09.2015 on the file of the second respondent, quash the same and consequently, direct the first respondent to delete and remove the same from the Marriage Registrar within a period stipulated by this Court.

Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the petitioner filed a suit in O.S.No.153 of 2018, before the V Additional Family Court, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Chennai, for the same cause of action which arose in this petition and the said suit was also decreed in her favour and therefore, nothing survives in this petition for further adjudication.
2. In view of the above submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
