Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus calling for the entire records in pursuant to the detention order issued by the 2nd respondent vide C3/D.O. No.66/2018 dated 14.09.2018 and set aside the same and consequently, direct the respondents to produce the detenu Mohammed Sufiyan, son of Jameel Basha, aged about 23 years son of the petitioner now confined at Central Prison, Vellore, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith. ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J) Petitioner, father of the detenu herein, viz., Mohammed Sufiyan, aged about 23 years has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 14.09.2018 against his son branding him as a "Goonda" under the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982]. 2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the son of the petitioner herein dated 14.09.2018, has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.4900, Home, Prohibition & Excise [IX] Department dated 07.11.2018 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.

3.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this petition is closed as the same has become infructuous.
