PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C., to direct the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Ulundurpet, to do the committal proceedings in PRC No.12/2005 in Crime No.35/2004 to the learned Principal Sessions Judge at Villupuram for speedy disposal of the case.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate Court No.1, Ulundurpet. to commit the proceedings in PRC No.12 of 2005 to the proper Court within a reasonable time as may be fixed by this Court.

2. The petitioner is shown as an accused in the final report along with 15 others. The final report has been filed for an offence under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 341, 323, 506(ii) & 307 of IPC and section 3(1) of TNPPDL Act.

3. The FIR was registered in the year 2004 and the final report was also filed during the same year. However, the same is pending at the stage of PRC before the Judicial Magistrate No.1, Ulundurpet.

4. In the facts and circumstances case, there shall be a direction to the Judicial Magistrate I, Ulundurpet, to commit the case in PRC No.12 of 2005, to the concerned Court, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Court to which the case is committed, shall complete the trial within a period of six months from the date on which the case is committed to the said Court.

5. This Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of with the above direction.
