This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus directing the second and first respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.11.2017 with respect to revision of Property Taxes for buildings situated within SIPCOT Industrial Complex at Hosur in line with Section 82 sub-section (2) (aa) of the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920.
2. Heard both sides.
3. According to the petitioner, the proposed revision is not in line with the provisions made under the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920. Ventilating such grievance, the petitioner made such representation.
4. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the second respondent to consider and decide. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the said representation dated 14.11.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
