The prayer in the writ petition is for a direction to the second respondent to cancel the documents, namely, Sale Deed dated 19.06.2017 and Mortgage Deed dated 11.09.2017 on the ground of forgery.

2. As the dispute required detailed evidence and the first respondent-Sub Registrar has no power to cancel it, the parties are directed to approach the Civil Court as they may be advised.

3. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as not maintainable. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
