WMP.No.36669 of 2018 in W.P.No.21312 of 2004 K.KALYANASUNDARAM, J., This miscellaneous petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay compensation to the surviving legal heirs of late Pandian as per the order passed in W.P.No.21312/2004, dated 15.09.2017.

2. It is represented that even before the compensation amount was paid to the Writ Petitioner, she passed away and hence, the legal heirs of the Writ Petitioner have filed this petition.

3. It is seen that this Court, by order dated 15.09.2017, allowed the above Writ Petition, directing the respondents to pay compensation of Rs.10,50,000/-. Since one lakh had already been paid to the petitioner, the respondents were directed to pay the balance Rs.9,50,000/- along with interest at 12%.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this petition is allowed and the respondents are hereby directed to pay Rs.9,50,000/- along with interest at 12% from the date of Writ Petition till the date of payment to the petitioners herein, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
