Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the entire records relating to petitioner's husband's detention under Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 vide Detention Order dated 22.09.2018 on the file of the second respondent herein made in proceedings No.869/BCDFGISSSV/2018 and quash the same as illegal and consequently, direct the respondents herein to produce the said petitioner's husband namely Dilipkumar, son of Shankar, aged 28 years before this Court and set the petitioner's husband at liberty from detention, now petitioner's husband detained at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai - 600 066.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by M.SATHYANARAYANAN, J) The first respondent vide its order in G.O.Rt.No.4917 (Home, Prohibition & Excise (XIII) Department dated 07.11.2018 has stated that the Advisory Board, upon perusal of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

detention order, report of the Detaining Authority and other relevant records, has expressed its opinion to revoke the order of detention dated 22.09.2008, as there is no sufficient cause to detain the detenu, Thiru.Dilip Kumar, and thereby the Government of India has revoked the order of detention dated 22.09.2008 and the detenu was directed to be released forthwith. The proceedings of the first respondent dated 07.11.2018 is taken on file.

2. In the light of the above, this Habeas Corpus Petition has become infructuous and accordingly this petition is dismissed as infructuous.
