Respondent(s) PRAYER This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking Writ of Certiorarifiled Mandamus to call for the records of the 3rd respondent culminating in Na.Ka.No.A5/1518/2017, dated 28.08.2018 and quash the same and further direction to the 2nd and 3rd respondents to issue an appointment order to the petitioner on the basis of the application submitted by the petitioner for the cooking assistant post in Purankarai Panchayat Union Elementary School, Olakkur Panchayat Union, Villupuram District after conducting an interview to the petitioner.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition questioning the letter of the third respondent in Na.Ka.No.A5/1518/2017, dated 28.08.2018.

2. The brief facts of the case are that the petitioner is a widow and 10th standard failed candidate, applied for the post of Cooking Assistant in Olakkur Panchayat Union, however her application was rejected by the third respondent vide Na.Ka.No.A5/1518/2017 dated 29.09.2018. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner has preferred this Writ Petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submit that petitioner is seeking appointment as Cooking Assistant in Purankarai Panchayat Union Elementary School, Olakkur Panchayat Union, Villupuram District after conducting an interview to the petitioner.

The learned counsel for the respondent filed counter and submitted that the recruitment process initiated by notification No.PE4/3996/2018 dated 28.07.2018 was cancelled vide R.C.No.PE4/3996/2018 dated 28.04.2020 due to administrative reasons, and a new notification No.PE4/2382/2020 was issued on 22.09.2020 to fill up the vacancies. However, the process was put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is further submitted that recruitment process has

not been completed and therefore, the petitioner's representation to appoint her as Cooking Assistant cannot be processed.

5. Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondent, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. K.SURENDER, J.
