Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to forthwith issue patta in petitioner's name, over the lands comprised in S.Nos.96/2 & 97/1A Kalappanahalli Village, Karimangalam Taluk, Dharmapuri District, measuring an extent of 0.70 cents out of 1.41 Acres and 1.71 acres out of 3.42 Acres, respectively, in pursuant to petitioner's patta transfer application dated 23.08.2018.

By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to forthwith issue patta in petitioner's name, over the lands comprised in S.Nos.96/2 & 97/1A Kalappanahalli Village, Karimangalam Taluk, Dharmapuri District, measuring an extent of 0.70 cents out of 1.41 Acres and 1.71 acres out of 3.42 Acres, respectively, in pursuant to petitioner's patta transfer application dated 23.08.2018.
3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, he made an application to the second respondent on 23.08.2018, for issuance of patta, with respect to aforesaid property. Since, no action on the same being taken, the petitioner has filed this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader apparing on behalf of the respondents would submit that the second respondent, who is the competent authority, shall pass appropriate orders on the application of the petitioner dated 23.08.2018, within a stipulated period.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the application, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 23.08.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as well as any of the interested parties, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
