PRAYER: Criminal Original petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to issue a direction directing the respondents to give police protection to the petitioner's life on the basis of petitioner's complaint dated 09.10.2018. ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for police protection to the petitioner's life and limb. The petitioner has given a complaint to the police, on 09.10.2018, stating that certain rowdy elements have been engaged by the accused persons to attack the petitioner and this petitioner was also attacked and he sustained injuries and was treated in the Government Hospital, Krishnagiri. A petition to register the First Information Report has also been filed by the petitioner before the Judicial Magistrate Court, Krishnagiri and the same is pending. In the mean time, the petitioner is facing serious life threat and therefore, he is seeking for police protection. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. In the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to third respondent to consider the complaint given by the petitioner and call for an enquiry. If the third respondent finds that there is a potential life threat to the petitioner, he will be provided with sufficient police protection.

3. In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of in the above direction.
